Established in 2015 at Armidale in the New England region of New South Wales, Precision Pastures service clients across the eastern states of Australia and work closely with trusted existing advisers such as agronomists, nutritionists and stock or real estate agencies.

We put data first and central in all that we do, to remove any subjectivity and bias towards any product or methodology.

Our team shares 60+ years of experience in agribusiness, livestock production, soil science and agronomy. We are united by our passion for helping farmers continuously improve their land and their business.

HAMISH WEBB – Executive Director and Interim CEo

Hamish Webb is a Director and Interim CEO of Precision Pastures and a sheep and cattle farmer based near Uralla in the New England region of NSW.

Previously, he has worked in agricultural and equity capital markets, live export, and red meat industries. Hamish holds a Bachelor of Agribusiness and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance.

In 2023, Hamish was appointed to the Soil Carbon Industry Group (SCIG) board of directors. 

MILTON CURKPATRICK – Founder and Executive Director

A life-long farmer, Milton has owned and managed farming properties from South Australia to the New England region in New South Wales.

He currently oversees industry liaison, client relations, daily operations and business development at Precision Pastures. Previous roles have included Manager – Rural Properties for Perpetual Trustee and for the University of New England.

Milton holds an Advanced Diploma of Agriculture and is a guest lecturer in Agriculture Production and Management, University of New England (UNE) and Ruralbiz Training

DREW WALSH – SOILS AND PASTURE AGRONOMIST & GM OPERATIONS

Drew oversees the agronomy, GIS and soil carbon operations for the Central West NSW region. Drew coordinates teams across Precision Pastures’ geographical footprint to implement strategic operational plans, optimise resource allocation, and foster relationships with key stakeholders to drive business growth.

Drew is passionate about the rural sector and displaying how planned and progressive management options positively influence the agricultural ecosystems whilst maximising production potential. He holds a Bachelor of Rural Science from the University of New England (UNE).

Jori Bremer – Research Analyst

Jori is responsible for coordination, data collection and data analysis for both MLA research projects. She is also involved in interpreting soil test results and helping clients in registering their soil carbon projects.

Jori has a PhD in ecosystem management from UNE (Armidale). She completed her Bachelor’s and
Master’s degrees in Plant Science at Wageningen University in the Netherlands. She has knowledge
of farming systems on an international level and is passionate about improving agricultural
sustainability.

Jack Yorston – Agronomist and Operations Coordinator

Jack completed his Bachelor of Agriculture at the University of New England (UNE) in late 2023, complementing his other certifications in Horticulture and Rural Operations. With a love for life on the land, Jack enjoys applying his university education to help solve real world issues, and to optimize farming systems for clients.

As a trainee agronomist, Jack is responsible for the coordination of soil sampling projects, equipment maintenance, and assisting with agronomy problems and consultations.

Jess Webb – Marketing and Communications Lead

Jess is responsible for driving and implementing high quality, responsive and timely, marketing and communications for Precision Pastures.

Jess has extensive experience in marketing, communications, and corporate strategy, having held positions with Austrade, Rabobank Australia & New Zealand Group, and the Indigenous Land & Sea Corporation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts & International Relations from Bond University and an MBA (with distinction) from the University of Edinburgh. She is currently a non-executive director of Beef Australia, UNE Life (a controlled entity of UNE), and The Armidale School Foundation. Jess co-owns and operates a sheep and cattle enterprise in the New England region of New South Wales.

Bibasha Khadgi – Project Officer

Bibasha assists land managers with initial assessments for our soil carbon services, collecting data for compliance management and facilitating the application process with the Clean Energy Regulator.

Her academic path includes a Master of Science in Agriculture Science from the University of New England (UNE), focusing on agronomy, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management from Nepal. She has spent more than seven years in client-facing roles including three years in climate and environmental projects internationally.

Rowena Skuse  – Project Officer  

Rowena is responsible for assisting clients with soil carbon projects, preparing Carbon Starter Reports, developing processes and assisting with compliance.  

Rowena has a double degree in Commerce/Arts majoring in Corporate Sustainability at the Australian National University (ANU). Rowena has strong grass roots connections to agriculture and has previously worked in research and sales, in corporate agribusiness at the National Australia Bank, and in carbon project management at the Carbon Farming Foundation.

Alex Baldry – Project Officer

Alex served for several years as an Officer in the Australian Army before transitioning to agriculture. He spent time on a large sheep and cattle property in Walcha, NSW, and now works in our carbon services, where he develops Carbon Starter Reports, GIS project maps and assists with soil sampling.

Alex loves the bush, is passionate about the resilience of Australian agriculture, and considers improving soil carbon to be exciting for farmers and critical for planetary health.

Adam Marshall  – Independent Advisor

Former NSW Member of Parliament and Minister

Adam is a renowned former politician having represented the Northern Tablelands as a member of The Nationals. He previously served as the New South Wales Minister for Agriculture, Minister for Western NSW, Minister for Tourism and Major Events and the Assistant Minister for Skills. With more than two decades of experience in State and Local politics, Adam has a deep knowledge of agricultural policy and maintains his commitment to driving meaningful change in regional Australia.

Olivia Lawson  – Independent Advisor

Paringa Livestock

Olivia is a strong advocate for a sustainable future in agriculture. For the past two decades she has partnered in a seed stock cattle business based in central Victoria, with a focus on ecology, holistic grazing systems and sustainable land management, while producing efficient, highly-productive genetics for beef producers across Australia. Olivia currently serves on the Board of Directors for Soils for Life and the North Central Catchment Management Authority.

Ed Sparke – Independent Advisor

Ed has an extensive background in corporate development, strategy, and investor relations, having held key positions at major companies such as Bright Food Asia Pacific, News Corp, Evolution Mining and Investec Bank. He also has experience advising smaller companies experiencing strong growth taking on roles at Earth AI and Patricks. Growing up near Tamworth and spending considerable time in the New England region, Ed has a strong affinity for agriculture and the exciting opportunities it presents.

Ed holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and a Master of Applied Finance.
