Precision Pastures reveals new site in Dubbo
Precision Pastures is thrilled to announce the opening of its newest office in Dubbo, marking a significant milestone in the company’s journey to better serve farmers across regional Australia.
This expansion not only represents Precision Pastures’ growth as a company but also reflects the increasing demand for soil carbon services in the agricultural industry.
The new purpose-built office is located at the state-of-the-art industrial precinct, Blueridge Business Park, 1/9 Asset Way, Dubbo.
Drew Walsh, Soils and Pasture agronomist and regional manager at Precision Pastures, is based in Dubbo at the new site and will spearhead the company’s growth in the Central West.
“Dubbo serves as a central hub for many producers who have expressed interest in soil carbon opportunities that align with their current production objectives,” Drew said.
“By establishing a base here, we can collaborate with these farmers, offering tailored solutions including agronomy, soil testing, baselining and end-to-end carbon project services. Dubbo is a great place to live and work and we hope to grow our team here for many years to come.”
Whilst Precision Pastures has been active in the Central West region for some time, the new office will serve as a hub for training, support, and a local fleet of soil testing equipment, ensuring that farmers have direct access to an expert team.
“We’re partnering with local organizations to engage with the community and actively participate in local events, including our sponsorship of Dubbo Run Club, the Dubbo Kangaroos Rugby Club, and local touch football teams, continuing our engagement with the farming community in meaningful ways,” Drew said.
“I invite everyone in the Dubbo region and beyond to visit our new office, meet the team, and explore how Precision Pastures can help you understand and benefit from opportunities in soil carbon.”
Precision Pastures executive director and CEO Hamish Webb said that Dubbo, with its rich agricultural heritage, was a natural fit for Precision Pastures’ next phase of development.
“The opening of our Dubbo office marks just the beginning of our broader plans to expand across Australia’s key agricultural regions. With this new base, we’re bringing our services closer to the people who need them, ensuring that Precision Pastures remains at the forefront of the soil carbon movement in the Central West,” he said.
“As we celebrate this new chapter, we want to thank our clients and partners who have supported us along the way. Your trust in Precision Pastures has been instrumental in our success, and we look forward to continuing to work together to enable primary producers to be the major beneficiaries of soil carbon farming.”
Precision Pastures was established in 2014 as an agronomy company based in Armidale in northern New South Wales. It has since expanded its services into soil, pasture, and carbon agronomy and is a leading provider of soil carbon project services up and down the eastern states of Australia.
As members of the Soil Carbon Industry Group (SCIG), Precision Pastures will be collaborating with industry players to bring a Soil Carbon Industry Summit to Dubbo in 2025. Details will be revealed early next year.
